Hospital History

Dr. Herbert Lysander started the hospital in 1952, as a small clinic in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu state, India. Now it has grown into a multi-speciality hospital. It is situated in the heart of the town easily accessible to bus stand and Railway station.

Hospital is approved by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu for Tubectomy, Vasectomy and IUD Insertion. The hospital is also recognized by the Government of India for the apprenticeship to train students in Nursing Assistant.i.e., Diploma in Nursing Assistant and D.M.L.T. – Diploma in Medical Lab Technology

Dr. Herbert Lysander is the founder of the Lysander Hospital, Virudhunagar. He was born on February 28th, 1926 to Mr. Samuel Lysander and Mrs. Swarnabai Lysander, in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu
